X351 3.0 S Supercharger whine

I'm seriously thinking about buying an XJ with the 3.0 Supercharged engine but I'm wondering how loud the supercharger whine is? Preferably, I'd like it to be loud!

Also, I'd be looking to upgrade the pulley, cooler and have a remap. Would this impact the sound at all?

I drove one recently and it’s quiet. Very quiet. But then they’re quiet across all ranges (the older 4.2 supercharged cars are noticeably louder)

It was also gutless. The 3.0D felt quicker. Personally wouldn’t go for a supercharged XJ unless it was the 5.0L

We have an XE S with that engine, albeit in 380hp form (I think the XJ only got the 340hp version?), and you can just about hear the blower when pressing on, but it's mostly all howling exhaust noise

Whilst the 3.0D might feel faster, it isn't. The 3.0S/C is 40hp up on the diesel and a few tenths quicker 0-60.

With a pulley change and remap I've heard this ups the volume of the supercharger, and obviously performance will benefit too.

Do you need a such big car like the XJ or just fancy one? Because I can certainly vouch for the XE S performance and handling wise, it's very quick for a smallish saloon. Slips under the radar too
