HI All,
The MK X (and presumably the 420G) had a vent at the back of the bonnet under the windscreen which could be pulled up to allow air in.
Can anyone tell me what this was for? Fresh air for the interior? Also how was it opened?
Thanks
Bob

The Scuttle Ventilator Flap was opened by Vacuum via one of the three press buttons below the ash tray and radio panel .

The classic XKs had flaps that opened into the foot wells to bring in a flow of air, very effective they were too.

Yes for fresh air.

Mark 2 Jaguars had a manual lever under the dash. The MX X and 420G a posh button!

Can seize up if not used and a bugger to unseize!
