Headlight control with remote fob on 2007 STR

My headlight does not turn on when I press the headlight button on my remote fob and as far as I know it has never worked since I have owned the car. The headlight itself works fine. Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

Do you only have the one key fob ?

Good point and the other fob works! Do you think it could just be a low battery in the first fob?

Low Battery or a duff microswitch in the fob , obviously change the Battery first .

How did Fob 1 unlock the car if its battery was too low to operate the headlights?

I assume Simpo its the micro switch rather than the Battery , from memory there are a couple within the Fob depending on function . A new fob will want reprogramming to the vehicle

Delighted to say that the faulty fob is now working as it should after I changed the battery and applied some electrical cleaning spray to the circuit board inside the fob.

Not sure which did the trick!
