F-Pace SVR arrives next week - new cheaper than used
Discussion
After a few great pieces of advice on here, my Jag F-Pace SVR arrives next Thursday, a few years of V8 lunacy before we're forced down the electric route.
I know there are a few owners on here, any particular tips on ownership? (apart from buying an oil refinery/getting to know my local petrol station owner).
Was looking for a c12mth old car, but ended up getting a brand new one for less than most used ones. Dealers are certainly in a trading mood.

Very nice
We were toying with an F-Pace at the start of the year, albeit the V6 petrol as sadly the SVR is a little out of budget. Didn't go for it in the end with fuel prices on the way up, but every so often I'll see one and get tempted again.
Make sure you come back with pictures and maybe a write up once you've had it a bit.

Consider it done!

Love mine, I'm sure you'll have a blast with it. One thing that has just changed with the latest Pivi Pro update is that you can assign the stop/start disable function to the user favourites button on the steering wheel - saves having to go through the on-screen menu every trip.Glenn63 said:
Very nice op sure you’ll love it! I really like them, not as big as an RR, sound fantastic but way out of my budget unfortunately. What spec did you go for? I know it got slated on here but I actually really liked that limited edition purple one
Thanks - I liked the Ltd one too, just not at £100k!
As for Spec:

Congratulations Julian. I have just started looking at these to replace my RRS SVR as I find them excellent value compared. The new interior is as good as the new RRS which has just been released and all the reviews are just excellent.
Please post some pictures when you get it.
Absolutely wil! Please post some pictures when you get it.

Last time I checked, due to chip shortages, you could not have head up display, 360 camera system or the digital dash. Is this still the case? Might explain why used examples are holding their value so well
I have a MY20 SVR, traded in my 3.0D S F-Pace for it. It's a great car and I've covered around 13,000 miles in it, it had 10k on it when I bought it.
Mine has the 22" wheels fitted and I found the Pirelli PZero's which came with it gives a slightly harsh ride as well as a bit of tramlining. I've swapped them out for Pirelli Scorpion All Seasons for the cold months and fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 4S for the summer. Both give a really nice ride, the Michelins seem to make the steering very responsive, maybe too much. The ride overall though is very good. Tires are expensive though, I paid £1300 for the Michelins and £1400 for the Pirelli's.
Brakes can squeal a little and seems to be a common complaint, personally when they do I back off and brake again which stops it. I've heard new discs and pads are around £5k! Doesn't appear that you can get them from anyone other than Jaguar, though there are some non-OE pads available in the US.
Fuel consumption was a surprise and overall not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm currently in France and got 29.5mpg on the way down when it was fully loaded. We did a couple of stints and the lowest this trip was 26.6mpg. I've previously seen it go as low as 24mpg when cruising at 140+km/h. Overall I think my average is about 22-23mpg. Give it the beans though and it will quite happily drop to very low teens.
Mine was very well spec'd. so I've things like a heads-up display (nice), 4-zone climate, Meridian Surround sound, 360 camera's, opening pano roof (meh), adaptive cruise control, blindspot monitoring, full digital dash.
I had no issues on the 3.0D S and a single issue on the SVR. which was a faulty bonnet catch, which caused the alarm to go off, fixed under warranty.
All in there's not a lot to not like about it. It's big enough for what I want, it's a great looking car, nice high-up driving position, four wheel drive, handles well, plenty of room, comfortable, quiet on the motorway, long run MPG isn't far off what I was getting in our 2012 XC90, has a great sound when you open the exhaust valves and goes like stink when you need it to.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

What a faf in puchasing a 1988 edition!!! My dad had an email confirming the car is built and is now at SVO getting the seats and wheels fitted. I'm hoping It'll come with a numbered plaque as only 106 out 0f 394 are staying in the UK.
Is that a " run out " Model in an attempt to stir up some interest as Production nears the end ?reddiesel said:
