Hi

Has anyone who owns or has owned one of these X351 models had an issue with a noisy roof ?

Going over a bumpy surface or when the chassis flexesI get a rattling / creaking sound. I am struggling to pinpoint the source.

I have cleaned the seal around the sun roof and sprayed with WD40 without success.

I can only listen to so much Van Halen at volume for so long !

Supposedly sorted in later cars! One of mine was noisy and one wasn't.

I'm not sure WD40 is the best thing, some silicone grease in a tube that you rub in has worked for me on X351s and various convertibles. I use this

I too had the same problem, sorted by cleaning all the rubber seals and applying some vaseline to the seals and the wavy piece of trim on the underside.

Cheers

Try some of these...

What worked for me was a couple of strips of this... stuck down the length of the glass panel both sides about 10mm in from the edge.
