Hi

Trying to scratch an itch and possibly get a late (2013 / 2014) XKR.

What's the difference between an XKR and an XKR Dynamic if any?

It there a higher residual value for a Dynamic?

Thanks in advance

I have a 2014 XKR Dynamic. I understand the Dynamic includes a lot of the goodies that the XKRS had, switchable exhaust, adaptive damping, Speed Pack with bigger spoiler etc

The Dynamic was the run out version of the XKR and basically I believe had most/all the things that were Options on the XKR included as standard plus I think their price was comfortably lower when new than the XKR. They do now however hold a premium over the XKR.

My 2012 XKR has most if not all the same goodies (Speed Pack, Black Pack, Sports exhaust , Sports seats etc etc) but these would have been options at the time . All 5.0 XKR's and XK's have the adaptive dampers. The Dynamic's alloys are different as is the Diamond pattern leather on the seats...

Hi

Thanks for the feedback which confirmed what I was sarting to conclude during my search.

I feel that the most important thing buying a 12 / 13 year old car is condition / service history.

I have managed to secure a 2013 XKR, immaculate condition, in my favorite colour combo (Black with light interior) very detailed full service history with quite a few optional extras including rear camera and upgraded exhaust👍

Big decision now is to whether to get Android connection installed, but so far the best price I have is £1,200.

I had Apple Carplay/Android installed in my XKR. Talk to Oxford Car Audio, or look for 'Mr 12volt' on google.

Hi

I've looked at Mr12 volt but looks very invasive as a DIY job to fit the new graphic card, I would be worried something might not work after I've put it all back together.

Do you know what make you had fitted?

Spoke to an Audio specialist in Swindon who wouldn't touch an XKR as the only options were Chinese.

Not sure what kit mine was, but it used the original screen. Oxford car audio will know. Here is mine:
