After 15 years of children m and Mrs A are in a situation that means we can have a toy. Just been to have a lookbat an ftype 3.0v6 dynamic.
The guy at the dealers has it up at a 4.9 0-60 which would suggest its the 375bhp one. Have jaguar done away with the S variation ? (Its a 2019) Or is he wrong.
Is there a way to tell ? Also its done 56000miles which is putting me off a little however its under £30k would you save up a bit more and get lower milage ?

Thanks in advance

This is an inevitable comment, but why buy an F-type that isn't a V8?

The V6 engine is infamous for being a V8 block with a couple of pistons missing, as described three minutes into this link.

Having said that, if a V6 is cheap enough....

Yeah its down to cost unfortunately, on balance I'd be ok with the v6 if the car is a bit newer.
At the mo its a 2019 v6 or somewhere around a 2014 v8
Theyre more expensive to run as well. If I had another 10k id buy a v8 dont worry lol.

I believe the base V6 ceased production in 2017 when the 2-litre 4-pot arrived and that every V6 after that will be either an "S" or a "400". I think anything that's a 400 will have stuff like exterior badges and headrest stitching which say exactly that.
