Hi all

I have just obtained a XF Sportsbrake S for my first ever Jag.
I am slowly getting to know the car, and so far I am very happy with it.
There are a couple of problems with the car which the car's Destruction Manual does not really confirm.
The important one is getting the car's Sat Nav to work. I am presuming I need to get a data only sim car for the car. Can anybody confirm this and do you recommend a card supplier.
I hope somebody can help with this little problem.
Cheers
Andy

No responses. I guess because like me no one has ever worried about a data SIM. As far as I know the XF shares its Nav etc. with XJ and XK, these use DVD based Nav which is in the boot. Does your DVD drive work? Do you have a disk? Not the best and latest DVD is 2020. If you really need Nav, use you phone, it is possible to get aftermarket Carplay.

Depends on the year, some have a hard drive system behind the dash, no DVD in boot.

Thanks for the replies. Ref CD in Boot no such thing in a 2018 Sportsbrake. When I try and obtain an address search or Postcode search the info center says no internet connection. Now in the center counsel/armrest there is a sim card reader and a USB-c (I think) connection. There is a sim card in the reader but I have no idea if it's working, at a guess I would say it's not. My local Jag main dealer has been asked the same question as yourself's, but at least I have got a couple of answers from yourself's.
Thank you.
The search goes on!

So your local Jag dealer CBA even to answer? Very poor. Phone another.

Personally I'm surprised a 2018 car needs the internet to make its satnav work. If you really can't get it going I'd get a TomTom.
