Has anyone put a roof rack on an older model XJ6?

Which model? Series 1,2 or 3, XJ40 or X300?

Or what model year?

I've fitted one to my '98 XJR with the fantastic manufacturers counterbalanced arm cycle rack. Easy to put on and off adn very solid fit.

I have been advised that the X300 will suit my purposes. This will be a summer purchase and I'm just doing a bit of fact finding at the moment.

I'll have a look over the weekend at what make and model number it is and post it on here for you. I got mine from Halfrauds in a sale - approx £100 all in I think?

The actual mounting brackets are 'Thule', but there is no model number visible I'm afraid. The boxes are long since disposed of, so I'm afraid I don't have any more details.

I'd reccommend you pop down to Halfrauds and look in their booklets - then, when you know what you need, try to get lucky on ebay.
