Went to Goodwood yesterday for a touch of high octane action, which started straight away with the Palmer XKR leaving the track. Oh dear.

There were 2 other XKR's one from Jag, the other from the Jag race series, which has 510BHP. Nice 8)

At the Jaguar stand they had the new XJ which looked hideous, a couple of X-Types, an S-Type R and 2 XKR's. It was very interesting to see no one visiting the stand paid any attention to the any of the other cars except for the XK's, which had people crawling over them. The new Portfolio XKR was there, with them big brakes which are fitted to the Plamer Sport race XKR's..

Great Pics. I keep telling myself I need to go to Goodwood one year. Never made it yet.

First time for me and a definite from now on. Friday is a good day all the action, but none of the crowds.

My ears are still ringing from the F1 cars by Toyota and Red Bull!

Great to see the new XKR as part of the 'Super Car' run!

What did you think of the celestial black colour of the new XKR Portfolio? from the photo's I've seen not sure I like it that much, looks too blue to me..

Edited to add: I also saw the cremona alloys on the new XJR didn't like them at all....

John, thought the Celestial black didn't work at all. You can see from the pic it looks dull, lifeless and purple! In direct sun you could see the metallic blue coming through, but it wasn't the BMW-esque Black/Blue I was hoping for.

All in all I've swung around to Lunar again...................(for the moment!)

Yes he is a 'bus driver' of a sort, but also drives an MPV so I give him sympathy. Sorry Simon! hehe

Would have loved to go but didn't save up enough dosh. Perhaps that's why it is now well known as the Fetival of Greed. I am sometimes ashamed to have been a member of the Goodwood Supporters Association, the limited membership club which was founded to instigate the Revival and was the forerunner of the GRRC. I used to go, but stopped about 10 years back now. Is it me or is it turning, like the Revival, into a corporate jolly?
