Racing (and winning) S-Type R
Discussion
Dear all,
knowing the glorius past Jaguar history in car racing (and the bad recent history in F1) I think it might be interesting for the Jaguar fans to know that there are Jaguar racing in international championship and most of all winning!!!!
In the Superstars championship (www.eurosuperstars.com here is a brochure http://www.eurosuperstars.com/db.pdf ). Those competitons are particularly interesting because, the cars are derived from the cars that you can see on the road every day.
The S-Type R of the Jaguar Dealers Team ( FerlitoMotors) are 2006 champions with Max Pigoli (last year they won also against the official Audi team) and they are leading the italian and international championship (this year they also have races for example at the Nurburbring on august 26th) both for drivers and team this year against official Audi, BMW (Cadillac will be joining soon). Audi should not be so happy about this since they will have even 4 cars for the next race in Misano to try to defeat the S-Type!!!
This is the site of the team where you can find very nice pictures http://www.ferlitomotors.com/. Interestingly enough the team is not yet officially supported by Jaguar!!!!
here you can listen to the sound of the S-type R

Thanks for posting. Only just caught up with it.As an S Type owner it's good to see how successful the car can be. Didn't know it featured in any race series ..anywhere.
Like the Ferlito site & rather like the way they've pumped out the wheel arches too on their race cars. Sounds good too.

))I like those people (I am not a member of the team). Despite the lack of an official support from Jaguar they are doing a great job.
Yesterday they were not as successful as usual (fourth and out for technical problem) but theys are still in the lead for the championship.
Disappointingly enough Audi and BMW official team are investing a lot of money and for the Ferlito Brothers is difficult to keep up!!!
I will post the update for the races
