Guys, very brief query.

99 'V' plate XJR advertised with cruise control but only has one button near gearstick. Others have two buttons. Does it have cruise? scratchchin

Many thanks.

(I know it may be best to ask the advertiser, but I have been mislead in the past).

Sounds dodgy, as far as I was aware the cruise and sports buttons were always by the gearstick and all XJRs have sports buttons...

Many thanks for reply Groomi. Looking closer at the photo, there is a definite lack of buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel. I assumed that all XJR's came with cruise, obviously not.

Most probably an honest mistake by the advertiser, but it is a feature I would like to have.

My '98 XJR doesn't have it - it was an option. Not sure if it became standard later on in the models life.

However, why would you want cruise control in an XJR? You can't enjoy the acceleration with it on... wink

Because not paying attention to the speedo can result in loss of license in almost no time when you have the acceleration of an XJR.

The sad thing is that you so rarely get to use it these days.

She who must be obeyed's MB's can use it's cruise control as a limiter, which I find a lot more useful.

In either case if you floor the throttle you get to play with the acceleration.
