Looking for a nice replacement exhaust system, to allow some more power and V8 sound to come out?
Anyone do a good system?

Hiya

The new Paramount Performance / Milltek Supersport exhaust is well worth a look. Check out my profile for a video clip!

Give Paul at Paramount a call and tell him Scott sent you!

Scott.

I had a Racing Green Car half system sports exhuast on my 2005 4.2-S XK8 and it sounded great. Can certainly recommend it.

Hi Beemer!

You will be over the moon with the Milltek system, the fit and build quality is superb and the sound is just amazing!

Enjoy!!!

Racing Green fittes a full SS system to my XKR.

A good V8 burble without being obtrusive even on the motorway

Is your current exhaust is the later quad pipe version.

I have this on my 05 XKR S CONV and the sound seems reasonably fruity.

The salesperson said the note seemed different, after the dotted line !!!

If you or anyone has changed from this to the Paramount system I would interested in the feedback.

Regards

SCW

Are you talking about the standard Jaguar system? As I know the last of the original shape XK's (like yours) came with the quad pipes.

If so, whether they are quad pipes or not, the standard system is too quiet, too restrictive and nothing like the sound of Paramount/Milltek supersports system.

Check out the small video clip on my profile and you can hear for yourself!cloud9

As for the salesman saying it sounded 'reasonably fruity', well that depends on what he was comparing it to:

A modified XK or any other V8 car?? Definately NO!
A four cylinder 'repmobile' Of course the answer would be YES!

Give me a shout if you want any more info on the Paramount system?

There's now delays on the Paramount-supplied Milltek exhaust!!!

What are these 'Racing Green' ones like, price-wise and performance/sound-wise.

They have changes supplier, used to be Cheesmans at Woking.

I am very please with them, I have heard that the new suppliers exhaust sounds the same but do now know for sure.

Racing Green systems are OK but too expensive IMHO, and do not sound as good as the new Milltek system. I'd rather have a bit of spare cash for other mods as well.

If I were you I'd wait for the Milltek unit! You will not be disappointed!

All best laid plans and all that.

I got a sports 'half-exhaust' from Elite at Derby in the end and it's a good system.
Not very loud inside the cabin still, but very nice outside!
I am told!

Small amount of boom at certain revs, but fine.
