xk8 oil

i have just got an xk8 with full service history,but whenever i get a new car i allways change the oil etc
can anyone tell me what would be the best oil for this car ?

It will be in the owners handbook. But Jaguar recommends Castrol 5W-30. Get some Magnatech from Halfords.

thanks for that triple7 did look in handbook it said everything from 0/40 to 10/40 !
5/30 is good news its the same as i use in my s type, so ive got some already

If you have a V8 S-Type, iot is the same engine.

I use 5W30 in my 8 and change it every 5000 miles.
