I need a good car cover for the XJR - as it has to live out in all weathers...[TVR hogging the warm and cosy garage]....

Any recommendations?

I use a "Auto-Storm by Auto-Pyjama" see http://www.permabag.com/body/en_autopyjama.php

One thing to be aware of is that when you put the cover over a car that isn't perfectly clean then you can end up scratch any gritty dirt into the paint work. There is also the problem of how to store (or even handle) a cold wet heavy lump of cloth which is over 20'x10'.

I haven't yet worked out how to clean it.

I haven't used it yet this year.

What I have done which I'd recommend is to have a pre-heater fitted. I plug the car in at night with a timer switch and then the engine is waiting nice and warm in the morning. That way it the heater clears all the windows in seconds. I use a Kenlow one.

The Jaguar one. Can't recall who manufactures them but the price for one for my XKR was cheaper than direct from the manufacturer. Very high quality.
