reset ecu on 2002 x-type

Hey any idea if it's possible to reset ecu (fault codes) on an Jag xtype 2002 2.5 petrol auto?

Can we just disconnect battery?

Changed o2 sensors (because were showing faulty) but fault still shows.

Happened to mine. You may well need a fault reset at a dealer as I don't know how else you can. I never replaced my O2 sensors and just left it in the end it cleared itself, although I did still get days when the fault was still there.
