Saw an E type driving towards me today. just as it approached me the bonnet popped upeek must ne on gas springs?

It was in a 30 zone and they were probably doing less than that so they managed to stop it with no misshaps but I still recon they shat themselves smile

An E-Type is front hinged. So at least the wind would be trying to push the bonnet down.
An XK150 on the other hand, like most cars is rear hinged. The bonnet on mine came open on the Motorway last summer. It hit my head, through the roof.headache

I was to busy to s**t myself.

Fortunately other than a saw head, Mrs Hex and I were OK, the XK is nearly back on the road after having the bonnet replaced and the root straightened out.weeping

With the weather we've had this weekend, I'm really missing her.
