X Type Blue Tooth

I've had my 2005 X Type for a year or so now, and in that time the blue tooth has proved to be phenomnally unreliable. The modules have been replace by a main dealer twice, and it has had three or four "hard resets"(whatever they are!). It has now packed up again,and has stopped the stereo working as well. It is going back for repair tomorrow, but is this a common fault? Is there any reason why it should be so unreliable? I'm beginning to get really miffed with this.
