Hi all - I've now done about 600 miles in my 2007 XKR and just for the last 150 miles or so the right indicator has just started indicating without me doing anything. So, I'll be driving on the motorway and suddenley I notice the right indicator light flashing. The only way to stop it is by indicating left, but frequently the right indicator comes on again after I've stopped the left one.

Any ideas? The difficulty of telling my dealer is that it never happens when you want it to happen, so impossible to replicate. On a 80 miles drive yesterday for example, it didn't happen until about 60 miles into the journey.

Cheers

Ed

Sounds like a faulty indicator stalk switch.

Assuming the right, front and rear, exterior turn indicator lamps are illuminating as well as the right indicator lamp in the gauge pack.

Hi Ed.

Sorry to hear you are having a spurious problem.

As you have hopefully found out, the new XK has the feature where you can flick the indicator stalk and it will give you 3 indicator flashes. Ideal for motorway driving. No expert here, but I would say that it appears you have a very sensitive indicator stalk, like a 'hair trigger'. As you say a hard thing to replicate, but I would go for a change of stalk or see if there is a re-boot of these feature with your dealer.
