X-type 2.0d air flow sensor wires
Discussion
For a while now my car had been behaving strangely, sometimes pulling strong at others puffs of smoke and asthmatic response.
The other day the yellow check engine light came on so I booked in to my local dealers to get it diagnosed. It turns out the wires to the air flow sensor had snapped and it would not be covered under warranty - I wasn't happy that a 4 month old car (well its a 4 year old car but new to me) had a failure like this and not be covered.
Is the wires for the airflow something I should have to have paid for or not? I obviously am thinking not but I know warranties are basically a roll the dice and suck it and see but surely this can't be classes as a consumable?
Still very happy with my overall service but having to pay £70 for what is essentially a little plug hurts a little
