S Type 3 ltr Diesel Climate Control Problems
Discussion
Last few days the climate control has gone crazy
Set dual to off and turned down temeprature to 20 degree C
Passenger side blows out cold air
Driver side blows out hot air
Set dual on and same effect, passenger cold, driver hot
Also the outside temeprature indicator appears to have gone random
Sometimes it shows what appears to be correct temeprature for outside and sometimes it can show say 18 degree C outside when it clearly is not
I dont think the two problems are related so
Whats problem with climate control (does it need re-gassing)?
Where can I find the external temeprature sensor?

Just test drove an 05 2.7 diesil today (& put down deposit) which had the same problem.
Salesman said that the workshop had identified it as a failed relay and one was already on order and problem would be fixed before collection.
Don't know which relay, so not sure this will help you much, but it is certainly nothing to do with the A/C gas, it is a control problem.

On the Audi, its the stepper motor that moves the heater flap.
On the jag its the heater dual control valve, or its wiring. Both common faults.
I had an independant mechanic look at it, he has been trying to get wiring diagrams but said Jag have not released them; if its dual control valve is this just a straight replacement, how much to get done at Jag dealer?
