Anyone from here going to the Goodwood E Type track day on Bank Holiday Monday? I'll be there in my Elise and with my Dad in his S1 FHC E Type... Usually a great event, can't wait!

Had a great day at the combined XK & E Type track day organised by CKL for the XK Club, E Type club and JEC a couple of weeks ago. Would be nice to get down there again on Monday but I'm going to need to be working grumpy

Hope the weather is kind, we had a great day.

JDC - a declining membership, huge internal politics, a poor magazine, a take it or leave attitude from the Directors (who appear self-elected)& a general lack of support for members. I used to be a member but transferred my allegiance to the JEC (as have many others since it is now the largest Jaguar Club in the world).

I too am now only a member of JEC, I joined both, but did not renew my JDC membership. In my area, the JDC does not appear to be very active, they do not seem to meet or organise anything, I only heard from them about one localish event, and that was about a month after the local JEC had contacted me about the same event, both clubs were invited.

So in my area, Thames Valley, the JDC doesn't seem to be too active.

However, I believe there are areas where the JDC are active and do organise things locally. I believe that some of the local JEC members go down and meet with one of the JDC groups down in Hampshire.

I guess it depends on where abouts you live.

It's a shame you feel like that, as far as I am aware there are some areas that are very busy and have always been. I am sure it is like most single mark clubs that certain clubs are more prevalent in certains areas due to the people that are active.

I'll pass it on though, my father is one of your so called self elected Directors, he has been active within the club, particularly the Kent area in the early days and latter as a Directors for well over 25 years!
