eletric superchargers, any good?

i was ficking through ebay today looking for alloys for xk8 and came accross an "eletric supercharger" it fits between the air filter and intake pipe and has an eletric fan that apparently forces air into the inlet manafold like a turbo or supercharger, and apparently adds 20 bhp, anyone any ideas on these? thanks

Previously you posted about grafting a DB7 nose onto an XK8, now you're genuinely intrigued about the effectiveness of an electric supercharger...

Are XK8's really within the reach of Chavs now?

I am sure you would. But mines worth a bit more than that. There isnt one on Autotrader that cheap at the moment but there was a CAT D repaired one a few weeks back for £4995. Cheapest at the moment is £5995.

thanks, i thought they alot of sh*t, just wanted to know if anyone had tried them, oh and if any of u might bump into "groomi", just let him know that just because peolpe might not be as mechanicly minded as he so obvously is, that it dont mean they're a chav, and dose he think that only a certian type of people are entitled to an xk8, people like his excelence,and could u be so kind as to also let him know that if u buy the car ur pretty much entitled do what u want with it, what a clown, thanks guys
