Importing an XK8 into the UK

In the process of importing the above car into the UK I came across an Agent in Germany who claims that providing the car is at least 30 years old & is imported via Rotterdam one pays zero VAT & only 6% import duty on the purchase price. This is huge saving on the stadard UK charges of 17 & 1/2% VAT plus 10% Import Duty. Apparently once you pay the 6% Import Duty to Dutch Customs it is possible to legally use the car in all EU countries.

Unfortunately none of this relates to my own car but the Web Site of the Agent is:

Not sure I understand - I thought the oldest XK8 was 12 years old, so where does your '30' year rule come into it?
