XJR supercharger oil
Discussion
I'm told by Opie Oils that the supercharger on an X300 1995 XKR takes Silkolene Pro-S 5w40 oil... but not how much, and I also don't know how to change it... Can anyone offer any advice or pointers? (p.s. I will probably get the work done at the garage as it's going in next week for a bunch of other stuff, just need to know how much oil and where it goes in advance!)

You can buy a manual or electric oil extractor pump from any yacht chandlers - they are commonly used in the boaty world.
You could always put the same oil in the engine so no need to be concerned about how much you need for the supercharger alone. I'd guess it won't take more than a litre or two, so 2 five litre cans should give you enough for an engine oil change too. And why not?

Already changed the engine oil a couple of hundred miles ago with 10w40, so I'm inclined to buy 5w40 for the charger if that's what it takes.
Also, does anyone know if you have to use mineral brake fluid on these cars or is synthetic OK? Should have checked that really before buying the synthetic stuff but there you go...
