S-Type ZF Transmission oil leak Help !

Only had the car a week and noticed an oil leak so i poped it over my pit to find this...
On closer inspection it would seem to be coming out through the gasket directly above the trany sump plate for want of a better description.
Does anyone have any idea if this is a common occurrence also the round star bolts holding the plate on seem badly corroded where can i buy replacements also is it just a case of undoing them dropping the plate and replacing the gasket ?
Can you top the Transmission fluid up as i am now worried it may be running low and if so what do i need for the ZF six speed
The car is a 53 3.0
