Hmmm. Well I won't be able to afford one, so that will be a shame. I don't mind Jag having some uber wagons in the line up, which will cost loads (and be worth a snip after a few years
The new XE will be £100k+) but I feel the current product is getting a little pricey, without the technology advances the rival premium German auto makers offer (new engines, trannys etc.) Nor are the quality of materials used looking that luxurious.
Is this as good as it should be?

Jaguar was a high end but never a top end product, and while I think that yuo can trade down, it is a lot more difficult to trade up, see also VW Phaeton.
I don't think Jaguar have quite as far to go as VW did.The Mk7,8,9 of yore was a high end vehicle, even if it didn't come with a high end price. They were supplying the Royal family back in the 50s.
But back then Jaguar's success was based on it's ability to make very high end products at a price point well below their oppositions.
