for future reference smile
Maxicosie Cabrio child seat fits in the back of the XK8/R no problems.
Only issue being that the front seat needs to be moved forward quite a bit.

Does that mean I might have a fighting chance of getting one in an XJ-S?

Having had both XK8 and XJS there is far more room in the back of the S.

And I've just bought back a stunning Celebration from the guy I sold it to, which I sold 4 years ago when our wee one was born as you can't get a rear facing child seat to fit an XJS.

Get it in a couple of weeks.

Anybody know if you can fit a child seat in a Xk (new model)? I've been to see one today and reckon it would be a real squeeze at best.

Isn't that what NST was saying in the first post on this thread?
I thought he'd found a seat that worked.

can't comment on the new XK/R range but on the older XK8/R model you can get a child seat to fit. The maxiecosie Cabrio fitted quite easily.

Jaguar will sell you a child seat for the new XK if you don't want to spend time trying the various child seats on the market.

Hope that helps

Update to available child seats for the previous gen XK8/R.

Just to add that recently a mothercare child seat expert couldn get a Maxicosie cabrio to fit in the XK but yet halfords could.. yet when i tried i got a better that the so called expert in the shop hehe Also interesting that mothercare (won't name which store ..) could not get a britax 'cosy tot' to fit when it is known to fit the XK.

How ever the Mamas and papas Primo Viaggio IP is the most easy child seat to fit in the XK. and will probably be the one we end up buying.
