It's 60 years since the launch of the XK120 at Earls Court. So that means in XK party time.

Here are a few pictures from yesterday. I managed to completely drain a set of batteries of the camera.

At one point there were 10 C-Types parked in a row. I could count high enough for the Ds.

XKD555

XKD535

Hmm?

I managed not to get Lapped by Sir Stirling driving this one.
No the other hand I think Graham Bell in his lightweight E-Type I think lapped me twice.

A rare picture of me in my toy

And this wasn't all of them

Anyone for C?

If that hasn't put you off XK Jaguars then there are a whole load more of snaps on

There were too many to choose from, you'd spend too long trying to make up your mind.

Various of the cars were giving rides yesterday. I gave rides to 2 people, a gentleman from Australia and then a young Frenchman who's father has an XK120, but used to have a 150FHC. One of the people organising charity donations for this came over to talk to the Frenchman and his father and said, "OK, so if you go with Ken in his 150" turning to the young man "would you like to come out with me in the C type" babble-babble-babble a quick negotiation in French... and Dad pulled rank!
