I am looking at the 2.2 litre diesel Sport Premium and I would be interested in what peoples informed views are of the car.

We have a 3.0Lt Sport Premium Estate.

Took it into be serviced on Monday and had a 2.2 litre diesel Sport Premium to use for the day.

Just didn't like it.

Maybe more MPG but we could not live with it.

Brilliant car. Mines well specced up, ie climate, heated seats, leccy widows, satnav, heated seats, leccy adjusted seats, pdc, 7 cd 6 in the boot, 1 in the facia. 38 pmg 99.9% town work. 51 mpg on the one long m/way journey I've done with it. Only 1 problem in 2 yrs ownership was one of the parking sensors packed in, the dealer fixed it under warranty in 24 yrs.

Go for it.

Horror stories compared to what? A 2.2 Auto will return around 45mpg on a M/way run. Increase the duty cycle and round town it will fall but 35mpg+ is still achievable/reasonable. It won't run on fresh air, It's a Jaguar hehe

I've got a 55 plate Sport Premium 2.2d estate. Its a good car with all the toys. Doesn't quite handle as well as my last 2.5 AWD saloon did, & despite the huge torque, money no object the Petrol is a better drive.

50MPG is impossible unless downhill with a following wind. Mid 40's is achievable on a motorway & mid 30's around town.

Out of interest is anyone getting really good quotes for insurance?

At the moment Jag Insurance is better than my current company for Business use.

Current AON: £ 1665 (About £ 700 increase over a 150bhp SAAB Twin Turbo) LOL Byyyyyeeeeeeee
