My XJTDVi has just been serviced and the dealer has informed me it needs new pads front and rear, do I need to fit genuine Jaguar parts to maintain the warranty or can I fit any make of brake pad?

If I can fit any make does anyone have any recommendations or would I be advised to buy Jaguar parts anyway? Whatever I buy the Jaguar dealer won't be fitting them at £120 per hour I'll take it to my local garage.

Cheers for any advice

Regarding warranty, that depends on the age of the vehicle, is it still in the manufactures warranty or a Jaguar continuation.

First with either you would have to use Jaguar parts as stated in the warranty.

Second if manuaftures warranty then you can get it serviced by any qualified garage to Jaguars requirments using jaguar parts.

Third if it is a follow on warranty or as a used car Jaguar warranty they state that any work must be done by a Jaguar dealer using Jaguar parts

Cheers, it's got Jaguar approved used car warranty until December. I'll get genuine Jag parts but pay my local garage to fit them.
