Just put a deposit on an 05 2.7 TDI to collect early next week.

Salesman at main dealer tells me that the service intervals are 12.5K with an approximate cost of 300 pounds / service, not disimilar to my Saab 9-5 3.0 TiD.

No timing belts, so no larger bill as the miles clock up?

Anything to be aware of, car seems to be in mint condition with 29k on the clock.

Can anyone confirm the approximate costs to be correct.

Also been offered 3 years parts and labour waranty backed by the AA. Does anone have any experience of this package.

Will need to change the screen name, as from next week it will be a Jag & not a 9-5 Saab!

Salesman is wrong! They are 12.5K on the XType 15K on the S.
60K in Kent was 500 including brake fluid change, 75K was 1010 but including a zillion other bits, basic cost is around 280ish.

They have 2 belts & 2 timing chains, belts are at 150K & are around 500 the pair. One is a cambelt the other is for the pump.

Edited to say, bloody fantastic cars, took first 54 plate SE from 43K to 84K, just bought new one 3 months ago 56 plate Sport with 15K on the clock.
