XKR'01 replace satnav screen and Motorola with Nokia N810
Discussion
Hi all,
My 2001 XKR had the satnav upgrade (which is sooooooo much worse than the free software on my n95 8GB) and came with the wired Motorola handset and an Alpine/Jag premium sound system upgrade. What I would like to do is:
1) replace the satnav screen with my Nokia N810 which has built in GPS, a touch screen, multimedia player and car monitoring software - http://www.mobilelinuxinfo.com/150/carman-for-maem...
2) replace the old phone with a bluetooth kit that interfaces with my n810
3) wires into car microphone and speaker system
I don't know how to remove the middle wooden dash panel or what the wiring diagram is, plus an audio fitter told me that I couldn't just plug a different audio source into the alpine stereo and expect a clean sound.
I have a feeling I will not be the only person who likes the idea of this upgrade given the capabilities of the N810.
Thoughts people?
Chris
