Indeed.
Try gulping down a glass of water as fast as you can - that's your V8.
Now take your garden hose, position it directly over a drain and turn it on full - that's a Jag V12.

I remember seeing a card with a picture of V12 Jag at a filling station. The attendant is saying to the ownerTry gulping down a glass of water as fast as you can - that's your V8.

"Do you mind stopping the engine, it's getting away from me"
V12 X300s are stunning cars.
I'd love to be allowed to add one to the collection I'm not being allowed to collect.

won't let me have one in my virtual barn either... Nothing quite like the V12 and I miss it. Don't care about the cost of running it. Don't care about its carbon footprint. Wish I knew more about old cars and old engines so that it would have been feasible for me to hang onto one of my XJ-S V12s. My XK8s (97 and 04) sounded like rough old tat in comparison. Nothing - but nothing - compares to the smooth, silent surge of the V12. I'd be first in line for an XK12.

Ha ha, my missus turned up after the car so she had no say!
£800 is peanuts, x300s usually fetch £3k > £6k, get it bought!
They won't at the moment - all big engined cars are taking a hammering. However, of all the big Jags, the X300 V12 is most likely to recover it's value due to exclusivity.£800 is peanuts, x300s usually fetch £3k > £6k, get it bought!

I like the way you think, we need more Political Incorrectness Hehe....
My new daily "commuter" car is a 1979 XJ12 series 3... with the pre HE engine, it's white with a vinyl roof and Kent alloys. I had to get another XJ as I think they're the bee's knees and my old 4.2 series 3 XJ6 succumbed to the tinworm about a month ago.
Took it up the motorway and got a consistent 15 mpg, and round town it has been returning 6 mpg.
I love it!
