I'm looking to upgrade my 2002 S-type's sat nav DVD for the latest disk. I've been to the Navteq website but they only offer disks for the 2003 model onwards. They are unable to provide any guidance on whether the disk will be compatible with my slightly older car.

(Note It is a DVD and not a CD-ROM system that I currently have)

Does anyeone know if the 2003+ DVD will work in the 2002 model?

I can't answer your question, but I have the 2001 CD-based system which is very ponderous and of course outdated.

However I solved the problem by getting a TomTom One V3 for £90, which does a far better, faster job of navigation, and I keep the integral system on for a rolling map that's easy to zoom in and out of - as the TomTom doesn't give you any idea of where you actually are in the grand sceme of things!
