XJ8 in dash cd?

My X308 has the ubiquotous cassette player in the dash and a cd changer in the boot.
I'd like to keep the look, feel and Jaguarishness of the console but would also like to heft the cassette and have a single cd player there instead.

Mine's a 2000 car so was wondering if Jag did a later version (up to 2002 were the X308's I believe) that had a single cd instead?

Mine is Jan 02 and it still has the tape deck with the cd changer in the boot, would be interested to hear what you end up doing, I would like iPod connectivity but it seems a bit of a faf, FM modulator in place of CD changer etc, and then the steering wheel buttons wont control the iPod.

Mine's May '02, almost at the end of production and still with Tape in the car & CD in boot.

Think it maybe the X350 when it changed to in-car cd?
