which wheels fit?

My recently purchased X300 4.0 Sov as a number of cosmetic issues ( no mechanical gremlins so far ) I'm in the process of dealing with the flaking lacquer on the boot lid(it's all primed ready for the base coat and clear) , one of the other issues is the wheels, they are the diamond cut type and have suffered quite badly with serious oxidation and corrosion to the mechined/polished surface. They need a complete refurb, but this leaves me with a problem, as I won't be able to use the car while they are been sorted.
I've been offered some cheap XK8 wheels and tyres, my idea is to buy and fit these while the Sov wheels are been refurbed they sell them on when the OE wheels are refitted. So my qestion is, as the XK wheel tyre combo is slightly bigger will they fit without problems? also do X or S type wheels fit the older X300?

X and S Type wheels have a different offset to the XJ ones.

OK so I can forget S & X types, but I'll be OK with XK wheels, they're the correct offset right?

XK wheels will fit but the rears are 10" and the fronts 9.5". THe XJ wheels should be both 9,5.

There's usually several sets of 16" wheels from XJs on ebay, from indiviuals, specalist Jaguar breakers and a couple of buisneses who recondition them.
