Seems to be the noise made by something at the back end of my X308 when I go over bumps at moderate speed - say 20-30mph.
I don't hear it above or below those speeds.

It isn't the brakes as it still makes the noise when braking so am guessing it's suspension related?
It sounds like a distant metallic turkey gobble (God, that sounds ludicrous...but it is what it sounds like, I promise! biggrin)

Seems to be coming from the o/s rear but I can't be certain and it's not intrusive.

Any ideas?

Normal or knackered (it rides and damps fine)?

So did the ones on my X300 when exactly that noise started. Couldn't for the life of me see anything wrong with the shock or mounting bushes but changed them and that cured it.

My X308 very occasionally does just the same - it seems to be triggered by a combination of one wheel on a steep speed bump amd the other on level ground at low speeds - typicaly when going into a car park.

Best take it out for lunchtime drink on Saturday when you try my Celtics and I'll have a listen. smile
