My X308 seems pretty sensitive to wheel balancing
Discussion
As recommended by a few I went to Supertyres in Maldon yeswterday and had the full works - wheel balancing and 4 wheel alignment.
The steering wheel is now on the skew but that's easily sortable (I would hope) however, the front wheels did have a wobble at 52mph and whilst now better, it's still there.
Obviously I'm going to go back but just wondered if there's any tips etc I can pass on to help sort it fully?
cheers

And I've just noticed they've used X350 settings instead of X308
So, worth going along then...
Eeeek - I recommended them too. Go and talk to Jason, he rebalanced the very wheels a few months ago you are talking about three times for me before I was happy - eventually he got them spot on so you shouldn´t have needed to get them done again. So, worth going along then...

Odd that on a different car the problem has re surfaced. XJs are a bit prone to wheel wobble at around 55 - 60 MPH. Part of the problem can be cold tyres which are slightly flat spotted from standing until they warm up, slightly warped discs, which you´ll notice more on gentle braking, weak shock absorbers or some dirt or rust on the hubs which prevents the wheel from locating accurately.
There´s been quite a few posts about this on PH before.
As for using the wrong model to set up the suspension and leaving the steering wheel on the piss that´s inexcusable.
Sounds like you need to go back and have a chat - PM me if you want invoice for last balance session to back you up.

Have been back now.
They weren't exactly full of apologies at the depot but they did at least test drive the car this time and the wobbles have now gone, the steering wheel is straight and I have a printout showing the correct model was used (same settings as a Super 8 it would seem)
In addition, the suspension noise I mentioned in another thead seems to have gone now as well although I do suspect that could actually be more a symptom of warmer weather than wheel alignment.
I ain't complaining either way though.
