Are we all a bunch of real ale drinkers?
Maybe Pimms & lemonade?
Gin & tonic (Plymouth...of course)
Perhaps it's Bolly all the way or maybe just a nice drop of Blue Nun?
What's yours then?
I'll have a Cinzano please barman and a spritzer for the lady.

Real Ale?...........Yes Please
Gin & Tonic.........No thank you, never been taken by the smell
Bolly?..............Well Mrs Hex is rather keen on Champagne, but until it's well over 20 years old, acquired that beautiful deep colour and the youthful effervesce has has matured in that more sophisticated depth of taste. I would rather quaff a nice Real Ale or Red wine. These days I've become allergic to some white wines and started to react quickly to the last Champagne I tried. Of course the cad in me approves of the stuff, as Ogden Nash said "Candy is Dandy; But liquor is quicker"
Other than that,
Red Wine............I generally like that aged too. Mostly drinking Chilean red at the moment, but they are getting younger. A top end Australian or French Red takes a lot of beating.
Pure Malt Scotch....I favour Lagavulin.
Jaguar Steve,
Seems that age is creeping up on you, but do not be dismayed, as agewise I am ahead of you. I'm 66, just had a strong Bacardi & Coke while cooking dinner for two, shared a bottle of wine, and had a large brandy plus coffee afterwards in the garden under the stars. Maybe this sounds like S-Type owners such as I have serious alco problems but, hey, it's Saturday, I'm at home and and it's a nice April evening...and there's an F1 GP tomorrow!

Real ale and whisky (Laphroiag or Ardbeg). Also like the ocassional Bushmills whiskey as well.
Ardbeg 10 is my favourite. Only problem is that I have to drink it quick else the wife helps herself......I need a private study with a walnut desk, Ardbeg in a drawer and a humidore hidden away.
Any decent 10/12 year single malt Whiskey and either ale or stout. When I'm skint I drink lager though I'm afraid.
To second the above a huge cigar is a must. Cohiba sounds good but I actually quite like the American "Sweets" or "Jewels" these days. Smell amazing!
Petrol, whiskey and cigars... The route of all happiness.
