What does NOT CONT mean on my x300 cd player

Hi, What does NOT CONT mean on my x300 cd player, I have a 6 stack in the boot and this message appears on the tape deck in the car, stereo all standard. CD's loaded correctly etc.

It means Not Connected.

A bad connection in the long (Din like) cable that attaches the CD changer in the boot to the head unit. You could try unpluging and pluging back in at each end, but offten the cables fail internally.

Should be the same as old (1995-1999) ish Alpine units.
