All this talk about jags has got me thinking about my old xj40 and how much I miss the old girl so if anyone has got one they are selling preferably near the teesside/Yorkshire area I'd be more than happy to hear about it, p.s. I am a serious buyer and have cash waiting. Condition is more important than mileage, cheers!
I know of a really good one that may still be for sale by a family friend who's giving up driving.
Briefly: Nicley speced 3.2 auto. Westminster Blue with cream interior, 55k from new, FSH.
Body, paint and lacquer all good, no rust, alloys and tyres fine, needs a good clean. Been offroad and stored in his garage for at least a year. I expect MOT and tax have expired now.
I briefly drove it last summer - really nice and tight - only problem I found was a slight weep from 'diff and the C locking did'nt work properly.
No idea if it's still available and how much ££. His son thinks it's worth a fortune
