WOW, WOW and WOW!
This car is pulled along by the devils elastic band! What amazes me is that at any engine speed, how it just wants to lift up its shorts and peg it as fast as it can towards the horizon! The torque available at any rpm is quite simply breathtaking and the car just shrinks around you with all of the vigor of a small 2 seater, and I know as I've had a few (Chimera, Tuscan 2S, S2000, Boxster ....)
And then when you want to just waft, you can!
One world of warning if your looking at one one these, they are very deceptive in concealing their pace!!! ehem........!
BLOODY MARVELOUS!!!!!!!!!

The image is a very low in kb's so it does'nt show the 'speckle' in the Ultimate Black paint job!
Did I say that this car was, err sorry is, 'Ground Breaking' for Jaguar! I feel I can say this, as I have also owned a '53' S-type-R and an '53' XJ6 3.0 Sport. This is young, talented, Jack and Master of all trades, British in a sense (but when in recent years has Jag been British!), and bloody rapid!
When you have owned as many cars as I have (this is my 18th car and i'm 36!), or have taken weeks/months over figures/stats in car mags over what is the best.......just look below and you will see the car that can SATISFY your needs!

Excellent car, but how isn't it British? Everything about Jaguar is British except ownership. What nationality is the Vauxhall Monaro? British because its a Vauxhall, Australian because its really a Holden or American because it owns Vauxhall and Holden? Mr Clarkson would call it Australian even though its American owned and would probably call your car Indian, but he contradicts himself left right and centre. Your car is British, be proud, I would.

I am proud... just trying to let the doubters have no argument when they keep saying that Jag are not British owned....thats all! Blody 'ell, I used to own a TVR, as British as they come, however (you Cerby....should understand) every one used to say that they were bl**dy russian in the later years, including Clarkson!Edited by Cerbman on Saturday 30th May 23:16

Good to hear. It is funny though don't you think that people like Clarkson call the Vauxhall Australian with its Chevy engine and American ownership and as you rightly say with all the Britishness of TVR it was referred to as Russian. It seems if the UK loses ownership of it cars they become the pride of the owning country. The UK owned Burger King for a while, but most still considered it to be an American product, as I did.
I've said this before;
The XF is built in a factory in Birmingham that used to make spitfires in WW2. It's been Engineered in Coventry and Gaydon.
The product planning and all the major decisions are made by Brits in the UK. It's far more British now than when it was under Ford ownership and all the key decisions were made in Detroit.

Wow , wow, I LOVE the XFR , as an ex owner of the S type R I envy you.
I am from Belgium and consider Jaguar 100% british. It is British. Adn truth be told, I am happy that a strong healthy company like Tata is the owner. They have the will to keep Jaguar a strong independent brand. I am selling my 997 turbo as we speak, getting the al new XK 5.0 convertible.
Can't wait !
