Seriously geeky! - tyre markings question
Discussion
Having come across this website: http://www.pneus-online.co.uk/reading-tyre-marking... some time ago, I found it interesting, and have checked the manufacturing date on all my tyres since then.
I recently changed the rear tyres on my car, and when I had a look to see when they were manufactured, I was a bit confused by the fact that only one of the two tyres had the marking. The other one just has a blank space, where there should be a manufacturing date (which is present on the other tyre).
The tyres are Falken FK452.
Go ahead and call me a geek for even thinking to look and wonder about something like this, but does anyone know if this is normal? I though all tyres had to have this marking by law. I wrote to Falken, but they also must've thought the question is too geeky, and I haven't heard back....

I suspect your tyres are directional. If so you may find that the date code is on one side only, and on one side of the car it's on the inside (which you can't see) and on the other it's on the outside (which you can).
But it will be there.
Hi Rob But it will be there.

Why am I not surprised that you answered this one...
