I have today found out that the new QUAIFE QDF–3W ATB LSDs for the aluminium-bodied XK and XKR (X150) models were issued yesterday.
These should also fit the aluminium bodied XJ and XJR's although this is to be confirmed

As agreed, these are now available for fitment by your preferred Jaguar supplier, whose contact details are listed below:

Racing Green Cars Ltd - 01252 894788
enquiries@racinggreencars.com

TL Jaguar Ltd - 0118 973-7779
tom@TLJaguar.co.uk

Paramount Performance Ltd - 01753 533633
info@paramount-performance.com

If you own a steel-bodied XK8 or XKR (X100) model, you may like to know that we are scheduled to receive the first issue of QDF-5W ATB LSDs - specially developed for these cars – by 3 June.
Again these should fit the steel bodied XJ8 and XJR's also to be confirmed

The fitted price for any of the above products will be £1560 + VAT = £1794, no matter from which supplier you purchase it !

Fitting is not a five minute job. Be prepared for your car to be on the ramps for at least a full working day.

Hello All,

Just an update after the Quaife Differential fitting. First of all thanks especially to Chas Whitaker and Keith Spencer at Racing Green Cars. Chas for persuading me to fit one and Keith for his expertise in fitting it and not burning too much rubber in testing!

What a piece of pure British Engineering at its best. After a very economic journey home up the A1, it was time to test it out myself. I turned right at Colsterworth and followed the B road towards Grantham, under the railway bridge and exited at full throttle out of a 90 degree left. Oooooh! Oooooh! Mmmmm! Mmmmm! Oooooh! Aaaagh! Stop it now. This is the first time I've had the car sideways under control in two years since I bought it. I Got the power on early out of the bend, feathered the throttle and powered out beautifully at top speed. I've driven cars with LSD's before, but not a Quaife ATB LSD. The smoothness of operation is amazing and so controllable. There's no snatch just pure smoothness in the shift of torque. The conditions were dry today, but I am now praying for rain to have some real fun! Anybody that's got an XKR needs this modification today. To hell with the cost of it because its worth every single penny, all 156,000 of them + VAT of course !

A full report over a longer test will follow after my Spa and Nurburgring trip.

Best regards,

Mark (Green Cat)

Hello All,

Spent an hour this morning playing again! The car is truly transformed. Getting the power down in all situations is amazing and I haven't taken the DSC off yet! I'm saving that for the track & lap times at the "Ring" are going to tumble. Even if you calculate half a second a corner in the proper corners it will be very competitive even though we're not officially competing! I can't wait to see how it performs in and out of Karusell. Maybe it's just me but the car feels faster even in a straight line. I love it, love it love it! More reports soon.
