2000 XJ8 Sovereign Oxygen Sensor pricing confirmation needed

Hi there

I have just taken in my 2000 XJ8 Sovereign to be repaired and it seemed as though one Oxygen sensor was one of the causes. I am being charged £322.89 + vat for this one Oxygen sensor. This sounds incredibly expensive, can anyone confirm if this is indeed the right sort of price for this part?

Is that just the part or including labour

Either way that sounds way over the top

What part of London are you, if you fancy a drive to J4a on the M3 my Indy Jag Specialist could do it for you at less than that.

I will try this guy you have recommended but do you have a ballpark figure on the sort of cost I should be expecting for one of these Oxygen Sensors?

Sorry I don't, on your year there could be one or two, price is different, don't ask me why.
Anyway for just one, I take it the test has been done for which one if there is two, if not Tom will do that.

As I say give him a ring and say I sent you, he will give you his best price.
Even the dearest one will be cheeper than that.

My XJR6 just failed the MOT on emissions so have today ordered 2 new oxygen sensors from Eurojag at £75+ vat each. Might be worth giving them a try.

that price is incorrect, dealer charges around 120 (ish) + vat for a o2 sensor. can be got alot cheaper than that.
