XKR False alarms

The alarm on my 2000 XKR has started to randomly go off when parked. Anyone else had this problem? Can anyone give me a clue as to where to start looking for the fault?

My 2003 XJR did this when I first got it, eventually I sussed out that the display was telling me it was the bonnet. So I disconnected the sensor for the bonnet and it's been fine although it does mean I'm at risk of having the engine stolen form the car ! LOL

Does your display give you a message when it's playing up?

When u start getting electrical gremlins/warning messages on these cars the first place to look is the car battery. An old battery or one that has just a slightly low voltage can cause these issues. G
