Jag S Type Front Grill

Hi!!

New to the forum!! I've just bought myself a 2001 S-Type and pick it up Monday. Its the 3.0l V6 Sport and i'm looking at putting the little lip spoiler on the rear boot lid and maybe upgrading the wheels as unfortunately the Monaco wheels on there at the moment are knackered!!

My query is if anyone knows whether the later mesh grill is the same size and dimensions as the current plastic black one and would be a direct replacement?!? or that the newer mesh version is slight wider or taller and therefore would not fit.

You have got the first version of the S Type there, I think. You can tell if it is by the Jaguar badge: is it on the bonnet or incorporated in the grill? If on the bonnet then it's the original. Later models with the badge in the grill have a different shape gril too.. a bit wider and a bit more upright.

I am pretty sure that there are suppliers of both versions of the mesh gills as an after sales item.
