The XJ looks the bomb. Did you get to drive it? Thoughts??
Nope didn't even ride in it, although you could sit in it. Ian Cullum drove it down there.Interesting to sit in & obviously designed for a chauffuer <sp> it was a LWB with masses of room in the back. But no more room than the Panamera I sat in the following day. Nice looking car but very colour sensitive like most modern cars are.
Quite a few panzerwagen owners impressed though & that was in all 3 not just the XJ. I could see a few moving to a Brit car if their comments were anything to go by.
I think the XJ looks fabulous too. Almost tempted to move back to XJ's from XK's.
I hope it does well
It would be good to see the BBC and other tax payer funded organisation using our money to support british companies. It makes a me little miffed to see so many mercedes cars outside the British Broadcasting Company. The new XJ would look superb as the new 'BBC taxi'
I know the car is chauffeur focused but so called privacy glass ruins the look of cars. It made me laugh recently when passing a Ford garage to see almost all the Focuses with blacked out rear windows.

What did people think of the 'dials' (there are no real dials, instead it's a flat screen that can show sat nav, infotainment stuff or just pretend to be a normal set of dials) I think I much prefered the 'real' ones in the XK/XF. I did see them switched on and they just don't look real to me....
Apart from that the cars looked great (loved the wood in the XJ), although I'll have an XKR over an XJ please!
