XFR - dynamic mode

Can someone explain what pressing dynamic mode does exactly?
The manual isn't much help saying it optimises the car for performance driving
The article in this weeks Autocar (comparing XFR to Panemera - XFR wins!) suggested it improved body control - is it just a suspension change or does it do more than this?

From memory it puts the dampers in the stiffest setting, but also adjusts the gearbox shift points, throttle response and electronic diff settings and traction control to be more aggressive. It's a bit like Sport mode turned up to 11

did you know if you have it in dynamic AND sport mode and then use the paddles it gives the quickest shift times and will NOT change up automatically even if you hit the limiter - closest to a true 'manual' mode you can get... (it also makes the gear position indicator pop up large in the message centre which changes to orange when its time to upshift...)

I see in the latest Autocar that they are running a long-term XFR. The first report seems to rave about dynamic mode. It says "Throttle response improves, the six speed auto box holds it in gear, the chassis stiffens and there's a naughtier exhaust note. It really transforms the driving experience...."
I'll have to give it ago.
The article also says "It's almost terrifyingly quick, and easily capable of spitting up and chewing out virtually any other car across country"

I saw a Panamera on the A4 the other day - probably the one in the Autocar article as Porsche GB HQ is nearby. Can't imagine why anyone would choose one over the XFR, and the Autocar article more or less said the same thing.

Autocar road test the Panemera turbo this week - it was the S they tested last week against the XFR.
It's very quick (0-60mph in 4 seconds thanks to 4wd) but costs over 95k before options and is still beaten overall by the XFR
Makes the XFR look like great value!

Same issues here, I cannot understand the exact changes from the Dynamic selector.

What I can concur with is that by changing the gearbox to "S" the shifts and aggressiveness of the car dramatically improve, far more so than Dynamic Mode.

Seems therefore that the chassis is Dynamic, gearbox is S, but I do not know if the mapping is any different as a combination of the 2 or not.

Again selecting S seems to do the trick for me

Just spent two days in the Jaguar owner police demo of this vehicle.

The dynamic mode stiffens it up, improves the response and does not force the gear change when using flappy paddles.

Excellent car, very good all rounder if you own one you are a lucky devil.
